NEW PEZA IT building in Iloilo. Felipe Uygongco, La Filipina Uy Gongco (LFUGC) Corporation president, receives the certificate of registration from the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) Director-General Lilia de Lilma for the firm to establish, develop, administer, manage, and operate an information technology center to be called Amigo Mall along Iznart and Delgado Streets in Iloilo City.

SWCSEA registers with PEZA. Siligan White Cap Southeast Asia, Inc. (SWCSEA) has registered with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) to embark on a multimillion-dollar expansion project. Present during the signing were SWCSEA Manufacturing Manager Jun Villarante; General Manager Edwin Sena; PEZA Director-General Lilia de Lima; and SWCSEA Finance Manager Reggie Avelino.

US$1-Billion Texas Instrumnets Investments. President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo announces a decision by Texas Instruments (TI) of the US to build a second Philippine Manufacturing plant in Clark, Pampanga with a $1-billion investment, at a press briefing in Malacañang yesterday. Joining the President are Bing Viera, TI Phils. President and Managing Direcotr; Paul Fego, TI Vice-President for Assembly Test Operations; Kevin Ritchie, TI Senior Vice President, Technology and Manufacturing Group; Trade and Industry Secretary Peter Favila; Chairman Rizalino Navarro of Clark Development Corp.; and Director General Lilia de Lima of the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA). TI chose the Philippine site over China and Vietnam as alternative locations.

New Software Development Firm Registers with PEZA. James Sanderson, Chairman of Lawson PSSC, Inc. received the certificate of registration from the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) Director General Lilia B. de Lima after the signing of its registration agreement as an Ecozone Information technology Enterprise at the E-Square Information Technology Park.

Dole Philippines registers new project. Dole Philippines Finance and Logistics Director Rolando Maliwat, Jr. with Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) Director General Lila B. de Lima as he receives the certificate of registration for Dole's new activity - the printing of industrial and commercial labels, forms, brochures and other packaging materials at the SRC Calumpang Economic Develop Zone.

PEZA REGISTERS FIRST MEDICAL TOURISM ECONOMIC ZONE. Saint Frances Cabrini Medical Centers, Inc. (SFCMCI) Chairman Feliciano Torres receives the Certificate of Registration from Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) Director General Lilia B. de Lima after the signing of its registration agreement for SFCMCI to establish, develop, administer, manage and operate the first PEZA-registered Medical Tourism Center to be known as St. Frances Medical Center in Maharlika Highway, Barangay Poblacion, Sto. The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) and DSM (Manila) LLC-Philippine branch recently signed an agreement for the latter's registration as an ecozone information technology enterprise to provide back-office outsourced processing services at The Enterprise Center in Makati. Signing the registration agreement are Mark Philip Galutera, Operations Director of DSM (Manila) LCC-Philippines branch and PEZA Director-General Lilia B. de Lima.
